When Disaster Struck, We Responded —
Now We Rebuild
The floods devastated countless families across Pakistan, destroying homes, livelihoods, and vital infrastructure.
Molana Tariq Jamil Foundation was on the ground, providing emergency relief, food, clean water, and medical assistance to those in urgent need.
Now, as floodwaters have receded, our mission continues. Through our Flood Rehabilitation Program, we are helping families rebuild their homes, recover their livelihoods, and restore their dignity.
The Challenge
The floods left thousands of families displaced and without access to basic necessities. Entire communities are still struggling to recover months after the disaster.
- Homes were destroyed beyond repair.
- Schools and mosques collapsed.
- Crops, livestock, and businesses were lost.
- Clean drinking water became scarce.
Recovery is not just about rebuilding structures, it is about RESTORING lives and hope.
Our Response: From Relief to Rehabilitation
MTJ Foundation’s response has evolved from emergency relief to long-term rehabilitation. We are focused on restoring stability and resilience within flood-affected communities through a sustainable, community-led approach.
Our rehabilitation program focuses on:
- Construction of disaster-resilient homes
- Restoration of educational and religious institutions
- Livelihood and agricultural support
- Sustainable access to clean water
Each intervention is need-based, survey-driven, and ensures that communities are directly involved in rebuilding their own futures.
1. Building Disaster-Resilient Homes
A safe home is the foundation for recovery. MTJ Foundation is constructing flood-resistant houses using durable, locally sourced materials that align with regional traditions and withstand future disasters.
Support Options:
- One Room + Washroom: PKR 300,000
- One Room + Kitchen + Washroom: PKR 450,000
Each home represents a new beginning for families who have lost everything, a space where they can rebuild their lives with safety and dignity.
2. Rebuilding Education and Faith
Floods not only destroyed homes but also the institutions that hold communities together. Schools, madrassas, and mosques, once centers of learning and guidance: now stand in ruins.
MTJ Foundation is restoring these spaces to revive education and community life.
Mosque Reconstruction Costs:
- 50 Worshippers — PKR 2.5 Million
- 100 Worshippers — PKR 5 Million
Each structure will be designed for long-term resilience, ensuring access to education and faith for generations to come.
3. Winter and Clothing Support
As families recover from the floods, they continue to face harsh winters with limited resources. MTJ Foundation’s Winter Support Initiative ensures protection and warmth for vulnerable households.
- Comprehensive Winter Package (clothing, footwear, blankets, bedding) — PKR 20,000 per family
- Blanket Support (2 double-ply blankets) — PKR 5,000 per family
Every contribution helps keep families safe and dignified through the cold months.
4. Kitchen Set Distribution
Many families lost all household essentials during the floods. Our Kitchen Set Distribution Program helps them rebuild daily routines and regain a sense of normal life.
- Kitchen Set (6–7 family members) — PKR 15,000 per family
Each set includes essential cooking and serving utensils, allowing families to cook safely and eat together once again.
5. Livelihood and Agricultural Support
True recovery comes when families can sustain themselves again. MTJ Foundation’s Livelihood and Agricultural Support Program empowers families to rebuild income sources and regain financial independence.
Each PKR 100,000 package includes:
- Seed capital for small business revival
- Livestock assistance (goats, poultry, dairy animals)
- Agricultural tools, seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides
- Technical and financial literacy training
This initiative enables long-term economic resilience and reduces dependence on aid.
6. Access to Safe Drinking Water
Safe drinking water remains a serious challenge in flood-affected regions. MTJ Foundation is installing hand pumps to ensure families have consistent access to clean and safe water.
Support Options:
- Family Hand Pump — PKR 80,000 (for one household)
- Community Hand Pump — PKR 125,000 (serves 10–25 families)
All installations are carried out under strict technical supervision and include community training for maintenance and sustainability.
